Hi, I’m Jessica, Director of Prosper Counselling and Psychotherapy. I'm a registered therapist with a Master’s degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy, and I’m deeply passionate about supporting people to thrive in their lives. I believe that meaningful, lasting growth begins with a secure and trusting therapeutic relationship. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and truly heard.
Therapy, to me, is a collaborative journey. Together, we’ll explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours in a non-judgmental, empathetic, and nurturing environment.
My therapeutic approach is strengths-based and informed by a range of evidence-based modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), family therapy based interventions, and mindfulness-based interventions. I am also Level 2 trained in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and a registered provider with WorkSafe Victoria.
I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, older adults, and families from a wide variety of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. Together, we’ve navigated challenges such as mental health conditions, neurodivergence, shame, trauma, family violence, personality disorders, substance misuse, homelessness, abuse, neglect, attachment wounds, school and work-related stress, and complex relationship issues.
Wherever you are in your journey, I look forward to walking alongside you and exploring how I can best support your wellbeing.
